How we express this intention:

  • Recycling facilities around the property for paper, plastic and metal
  • Participate in a towel and linen re-use program
  • Use of biodegradable, non toxic cleaning products from Seventh Generation
  • Serving organic breakfasts with as many locally grown ingredients as possible
  • Water conservation by growing drought resistant lavender as a crop
  • Earth friendly bath products made with our organically grown lavender oil
  • Supporting the Montanita Co-Op, a community-owned, organic natural foods store, by purchasing the majority of our food items there
  • Durable instead of disposable service items such as table ware and serving pieces
  • Using compact fluorescent light bulbs to reduce electricity consumption
  • Use of durable cotton towels and linens in rooms to reduce VOC emissions
  • Supporting the local community by participating in local organizations, providing community information to guests, and utilizing locally made items
