About the Musicians
Alex Maryol
Alex Maryol’s latest album will be his eighth entry in a musical journey that began with him as blues prodigy. He’s since matured into a critically-acclaimed alt-blues artist. His vocals exude a sweet grit, and, on guitar, Alex is a slow-burn virtuoso whose adept at conjuring muddy Mississippi river blues, gritty indie rock, buttery R&B, and sweat-soaked Chicago-style blues with an unmistakable swagger.
BIG TREBLE
Big Treble is an acoustic, unplugged style duo comprised of guitar and vocals. On guitar is Canadian born David Garber, a recent transplant from NYC. David has performed across Canada, USA, and Europe in numerous bands. David’s unique talent and finger style guitar arrangements beautifully set the tone while soprano Crystal Prins lends her powerful range of vocals to a wide variety of genres, carefully chosen and blended perfectly to highlight the mood and ambience of the evening.
Felix "Gato" Peralta Duo
Felix Gato Peralta is a Chicano singer-songwriter, adept at vocals, guitar, accordion, and harmonica. Hailing from New Mexico, his music reflects the soul of the Southwest. With songs featured in Netflix and PBS films, Gato's captivating performances have earned him recognition at the Kennedy Center's Arts across America program. Whether touring with Felix Y Los Gatos or as a solo artist, Gato's talent shines through in his latest album, "Genízaro Ways." Prepare to be enchanted by his mesmerizing Cumbia indigenous, Blues , on the button accordion and guitar.
Genevieve Leitner
With “elegant virtuosity” guitarist Genevieve Leitner plays music from around the world and across time periods. She has performed in Chile, Germany, Mexico, Austria, Italy, Argentina and throughout the US. For six years, Genevieve lived in Santiago, Chile, where she delved into the music of Latin America, focusing on the composers and traditional rhythms from this region’s eclectic cultures. Her solo album, “Enamorada”, features Latin American dances and love songs.
Kevin herig
Kevin has been deeply rooted in the Albuquerque music scene since his debut in 2006 with his first band, Asper Kourt. With Kevin as the frontman, the band was chosen by and featured on MTVMusic.com as their, “The Needle in the Haystack," and was featured on The Food Network’s, “What Would Brian Boitano Make?” Kevin released his debut solo album, “Give It All Away,” in early 2014, an EP, “All You Can’t Control” in March of 2016, and most recently his second full-length LP, "Stubborn Heart" in December of 2018. Kevin is also the Founder and Director of Rock 101 New Mexico, a music program in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico that aims to educate and empower youth.
