Human Resources Administrative Assistant

Position Summary & Overview

The Human Resources Administrator is a highly self-motivated and discreet professional responsible for managing HR documents and processes as well as updating internal databases, spreadsheets, and HRIS systems.  

Position Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Job Duties:

  • Assist with recruitment processes, including job advertising, phone screening, and completing background investigations
  • Facilitate on-boarding for new employees and assist hiring managers with administrative set up for new hires
  • Facilitate off-boarding for exiting employees
  • Communicate scheduled trainings
  • Facilitate and maintain data retention initiatives including personnel files
  • Assist with updating and maintaining job descriptions, policies, and forms
  • Assist with benefits administration
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate employee records including I-9’s
  • Maintain accident reports
  • Assist HR Project Manager with employee engagement programs
  • Provide general Human Resources support

Requirements:

  • Administrative Experience
  • Proficient in computer software (Microsoft Office)
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Possesses great problem-solving skills
  • Independent and responsible
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in Human Resources
  • Languages: Fluency in English (Spanish is a strong advantage)
