Campo Food & Beverage Administrator

POSITION OVERVIEW & SUMMARY

Campo is an award-winning restaurant at Los Poblanos recognized nationally for its Rio Grande Valley Cuisine and for developing one of the most pure field-to-fork models in the country. The Food & Beverage Administrator will report to the Campo General Manager and work closely with one of the most experienced culinary teams in New Mexico. As Campo is part of a larger F&B and hospitality business at Los Poblanos, the position has the opportunity to create more seamless communication between departments and elevate the dining experience for guests.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for the Campo Leadership Team including Campo General Manager, Director of Wine & Spirits and Executive Chef
  • Oversee all restaurant Private Dining in Cellar Room as well as Holiday dining
  • Assist with all paperwork and HR communication associated with new hires, job changes or terminations
  • Maintain onboarding folder for all new hires as well as oversee training schedules 
  • Maintain list of employees and all annual training including alcohol certification, safe food handling and blood borne pathogen
  • Input all hours and Service charges on weekly pay sheets or work with accounting on new tip distribution reporting
  • Confirm daily time sheets are correct in Paylocity for all of F&B
  • Work with managers to follow up on missed or incorrect punches
  • Handle all administrative needs of restaurant:
    • Weekly updating and printing of menus for bar, restaurant, private dinners and celebrations
    • Be the contact person for Marketing regarding menus and timing for special events, ensuring that managers stay on task with deadlines
    • Update specials and new menu items in POS system
    • Assist with re-ordering of par levels of FOH supplies and culinary dry good supplies
    • Gather and organize all invoices for FOH and Culinary, code and forward to accounting
  • Communicate guest and VIP needs with Front Desk
  • Oversee Resdiary reviews and other review areas, forward reviews to appropriate manager to respond and/or respond directly to guests
  • Assist managers with inventory
  • Coordinate and maintain vendor and supplier information
  • Submit and follow through with maintenance requests through Alice for FOH and Kitchen
  • Assist with special projects as assigned

Essential Job Functions

  • Be proficient in and use ResDiary software as the main tool for taking and coordinating reservations for the restaurant
  • Communicate with guests and internal departments for reservations management
  • Coordinate with Inn and Events to complement guest requests for restaurant experience
  • Manage clerical or administrative activities
  • Order materials, supplies and equipment

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 2-5 years administrative or office management experience or job-related experience in fine dining operations or upscale hotel/restaurant
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail 
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships within departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Highly resourceful team-player and effective independently 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Relevant food hygiene/health and safety licensing qualifications; food handlers permit desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred

  • Prior experience in the Food and Beverage industry
  • Management/supervision experience is a distinct advantage
  • Interest in organic farming, agriculture, art and architecture is a plus
  • Experience with ResDiary software a plus
