Tamarind Summer Season at Los Poblanos

Fan Mail: Celebrating 10 Years of Art and Friendship

We are honored to present the fourth annual collaboration between Los Poblanos and Tamarind Institute with Fan Mail: Celebrating 10 Years of Art and Friendship, on view in the La Quinta Gallery from June 3 to August 29, 2025. This special exhibition honors Tamarind Master Printer Valpuri Remling’s first decade of collaborative work, told through the words and artwork of the artists who have shared the press with her.

Fan Mail offers an intimate glimpse into the transformative nature of collaboration in the print studio. Participating artists reflect on their creative partnerships with Valpuri, sharing personal notes, drawings, and stories alongside selected lithographs made together at Tamarind. Through these works and words, the exhibition celebrates the spirit of experimentation, trust and deep artistic connection that defines the collaborative process.

Since its founding in 1960, Tamarind has helped shape the field through its internationally recognized printer training program and its mission to preserve and advance lithography as a creative medium.

Today, Tamarind continues to thrive as a state-of-the-art workshop, public gallery and hub for artist residencies and educational programs. It remains the only institution in the world offering professional training in collaborative lithography at this level.
