POSITION OVERVIEW

The Campo Reservationist is essential to creating an elevated, personalized dining experience for all guests. This role is responsible for managing chef table reservations, VIP guests, group dining, and building detailed guest profiles to enhance and tailor each interaction. Through warm, knowledgeable engagement, the Campo Reservationist brings the story of Los Poblanos to life for every guest. The Campo Reservationist reports to the Dining Manager or Guest Experience Manager.

Position Type: Full time, Non-Exempt

Essential Job Functions:

Reservation Management:

  • Handle dining reservations in person, by phone, and via email, including chef table, VIP, and group reservations.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and optimize table flow in Reserve to support smooth and timely service.
  • Contact guests to confirm and update reservations with any relevant details, ensuring all guest needs and preferences are noted.

Guest Profiling & Experience Enhancement:

  • Build and maintain guest profiles, capturing preferences, dining history, and special requests to create customized dining experiences.
  • Ensure guest profiles are accessible to FOH and Kitchen Management teams for seamless, personalized service.
  • Facilitate special requests, including birthday cakes, unique seating arrangements, and dietary accommodations, in coordination with the kitchen and service staff.
  • VIP & Group Dining Coordination:
  • Manage group dining bookings from start to finish, ensuring that all details are communicated to the FOH and culinary teams.
  • Provide special attention to VIP guests by preparing notes on preferences and past dining experiences to elevate their visits.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for chef table reservations, guiding guests through this unique experience.

Guest Interaction & Communication:

  • Treat all guests interactions with elevated hospitality, in alignment with Campo’s service standards.
  • Communicate all reservation details effectively to the FOH and Kitchen Management teams.
  • Maintain a conversational knowledge of Campo’s seasonal menu, wine offerings, and the broader Los Poblanos property to engage guests with insightful recommendations and information.

General Support:

  • Assist management with various office tasks as needed.
  • Ensure all policies, mission statements, and objectives are consistently upheld.

Experience & Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a reservationist or host role, ideally in a casual fine dining or service-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with Reserve or similar reservation systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with an eye for detail in guest service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and walk for 8-10 hours daily.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. periodically throughout the day.

Schedule Flexibility:

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar position with a focus on high-touch guest service and VIP guest management.
