Holiday Cocktail Recipes

A pink cocktail in a martini glass with an orange peel twist sitting on a bar next to a bottle of lavender gin.

Our talented team of mixologists and cocktail connoisseurs have created a series of festive drinks highlighting our botanical spirits.

Lavender Gin Cosmo

Our gin spin on the classic Cosmopolitan will surprise and delight you as you wonder why it was ever made with vodka.  We prefer pure cranberry juice to "cranberry cocktail" blends for a more classic level of tartness. For a little something extra, rim the glass with Rose Cocktail Rimming Sugar.

  • 2 oz. lavender gin
  • 1 oz. orange liqueur or triple sec (we prefer Hollow Spirits brand from ABQ)
  • 3/4 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 oz. pure cranberry juice
  • garnish with an orange twist

Shake vigorously for 10-12 seconds.  Strain into a stemmed cocktail glass.  Squeeze the orange peel to express its oils on the surface before inserting.

New Mexico Mule

The gin & ginger duo is always a refreshing crowd pleaser.  Add aromatic bitters to your taste to add warming spice flavors and balance the sweetness of the ginger beer or ale.

  • 2 oz. western dry gin
  • 1/2 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 5 oz. ginger beer or ale (we like Fever Tree ginger beer)
  • 2 dashes Angostura Aromatic bitters
  • garnish with a lime wedge

Add all ingredients to a rocks glass or mule mug and stir briefly to incorporate.

Lavender Apple Cider

This winter-spiced brew will warm and surprise you as the gin botanicals and lavender harmonize with apple cider in a flavor profile you didn't know you needed.

  • 2 oz. lavender gin
  • 5 oz. apple cider (we like Big B's brand)
  • 3/4 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 dash Angostura Aromatic bitters, or to taste
  • garnish with a lemon twist, cinnamon stick, and fresh grated nutmeg

Gin Toddy

Need a prescription for winter well-being?  You'll never dilute your hot toddies with water again after trying it with tea.

  • 2 oz. western dry gin
  • 5 oz. brewed chamomile tea
  • 1/2 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz. pure local honey (to taste)
  • garnish with a lemon twist

Stir all ingredients together until the honey is dissolved.
