Vega Sicilia wine seminar
We are excited to welcome Diana Kelley, Vega Sicilia’s American Regional Manager, for an extraordinary tasting and seminar featuring wines from the esteemed Vega Sicilia portfolio. Often regarded as the “first growth” of Spain, Vega Sicilia was founded in 1864 in Ribera del Duero by Don Eloy Lecanda y Chaves, a Bordeaux-trained winemaker. The estate was later acquired by the Álvarez family in 1982, who have continued a meticulous approach to winemaking with low yields, green harvesting and careful grape selection.
Guests will be greeted with a glass of 2020 Oremus “Mandolás” and an introduction to the history and philosophy of the winery. This will be followed by an in-depth tasting of Alion, two vintages of Valbuena 5°, two vintages of Unico, current release of Unico Reserva Especial, and finishing with the Vega Sicilia and Rothschild collaboration Macan Clasico. A selection of meats, cheeses and house-made accompaniments will be included in the seminar.
Cost: $275 + tax (no service charge)
