Natural Light Photography Workshop

Join Alison Hatch for a foundational course in photography, designed for beginners eager to master the essentials of camera operation. This immersive experience blends instructional learning with hands-on practice, set against the picturesque backdrop of one of New Mexico's most iconic locations.

Our 2-hour session begins with a 60-minute interactive class where you'll explore the fundamentals of camera settings, including aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and composition techniques. No matter what kind of camera you are using, we'll tailor our instruction to help you understand and utilize your equipment effectively. You'll learn how to adjust your camera settings for different lighting conditions and subjects, ensuring that you capture the best possible images.

Following the classroom session, we’ll venture out into the stunning grounds of Los Poblanos for a 60-minute guided practice shoot. You'll have the opportunity to apply your newfound skills in real-time, capturing the unique architecture, lush gardens, and serene landscapes that define this historic farm. Your instructor will be on hand to offer personalized tips and feedback, helping you refine your technique and develop your own photographic style.

By the end of this course, you'll not only have a solid grasp of camera basics but also a collection of beautiful photos showcasing the essence of Los Poblanos. Perfect for those new to photography or anyone looking to enhance their camera skills in a supportive, inspiring environment.

A light lunch will be served after the workshop. Participants are required to bring their own digital camera.
