Larry P. Abraham Agri-Nature Center and Agriculture Program

The Village of Los Ranchos purchased the old Anderson Winery on 25 acres to preserve open space in the Village and to celebrate our agricultural heritage. This property has evolved over the years into the center for agricultural excellence that it is today. Flower Gardening and Farming  |  May 19 at 6 pm
Join Maxfield Bervig, the Farm Manager at Los Poblanos, to talk about planning, growing and harvesting decorative and edible flowers. $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased online or cash at the door is accepted.

ABQ Backyard Refuge Program Workshop  |  Jun 2 at 6pm
Our backyards can be a window into our wondrously complex natural world, filled with extraordinary interactions and interdependencies. Learn all about the ABQ Backyard Refuge Program and how you can build a certified backyard refuge. You can build a refuge for wildlife with a patio or balcony, or just by being a lazy gardener! You'll explore the ways you can support our wild neighbors by sharing resources and being responsive to their needs. Laurel Ladwig is a geographer and lifelong birder who has been teaching about birds and stars in informal science education settings for more than three decades. She is the ABQ Backyard Refuge Program Director for Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge and the Friends of Valle de Oro NWR.
