Our Favorite Farm Foods for Fall
Fall is just around the corner, and soon, farm stands will begin roasting green chile and infusing the air with its unmistakable, mouthwatering fragrance. This traditional New Mexican crop is beloved in many forms, but around here, our Green Chile Jam is at the top of our list. While we could be biased, Bon Appétit calls the addictive spread "sweet, spicy, smoky and floral - best spread on toasted sourdough."
An Intimate Space Rich With History
Nestled in an original, historic home designed by the father of Santa Fe style, John Gaw Meem, the Hacienda Spa is an intimate space that encourages a sensory spa experience. From the punched tin chandeliers and massive vigas of the lobby to the glistening fountain tiles of the courtyard, special details can be discovered around every corner.
Product Highlight: Facial Toner and Skin Care Oil
The perfect combination for healthy and hydrated skin
As we cultivate a space for our guests to slow down, relax and reconnect with nature, wellness is at the center of the work we do at Los Poblanos. As our business evolves, skincare has become an integral piece of our brand. Our Organic Lavender Facial Toner and Organic Lavender Skin Care Oil, used separately, or together, are a great way to provide yourself with a piece of the Los Poblanos well-being experience by giving you the ability to deeply care for your skin in an easy and accessible way.
Our Distillation Process
Angel's share. Angel's breath. This is what the first delicate puff of lavender essence is called as it rises in a misty, miniature cloud from the spout of the condenser, at the end port of the copper alembic distillation still. This initial puff contains essential oil, hydrosol and the heady aroma of our organic Grosso Lavender fields.
Hand-harvested in the early morning, our farmers deliver lavender to the distillation hut, where our distillers load the precious plant material into the base and column of the still. The rounded lower portion is filled with fresh well water and heated to the boiling point where the resulting steam pulls the oils and moisture from the lavender. As it is volatilized, the heat and pressure push it up into the swan neck - the graceful copper tube that connects the pointed dome of the still to the barrel of the condenser.
Welcome Fall on the Farm
Soon, cool, crisp mornings will arrive to mark the change in season after a warm desert summer. Autumn in New Mexico is fast approaching, with roadside stands infusing the air with the warming, unmistakable scent of roasting green chile, as hot air balloons float gently across the horizon. The magnificent fall foliage of our native cottonwood and aspen trees provide the perfect backdrop for exploring the trails of the Sandia Mountains, cycling the nearby Paseo del Bosque Trail or simply enjoying the views from the comfort of your patio.
Wine Spectator recognizes Campo
We are delighted to share that Campo has been awarded the 2023, 2022 and 2021 Wine Spectator "Best of Award of Excellence." Making its debut in 1981, the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards Program has been championing excellence in restaurant wine lists for decades. The "Best of Award of Excellence" recognizes wine lists that display a significant vertical depth of top producers or substantial breadth across multiple wine-growing regions. Typically offering 350 or more selections, Best of Award restaurants are destinations for serious wine lovers, and show a deep commitment to wine, both in the cellar and through their service team. Campo is one of only three restaurants in our state to be awarded this honor, and the only winner in Albuquerque.
